1. Introduction

Uply: Wash to Wake ("Uply", "the App", "we", "our", or "us") is developed and published by Abdul Rehman. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

By downloading, installing, or using Uply, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Processed On-Device Only

The following data is processed exclusively on your device using Apple's native frameworks. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:

• Camera Feed: Used in real-time for Wash to Wake (wet-face detection) and Pushup missions (body-pose tracking). Video frames are analyzed using Apple Vision and AVFoundation frameworks and are immediately discarded after processing. No images or video are saved, recorded, or uploaded.
• Face ID / Biometric Data: Used solely to authenticate Screen Time permission changes. Biometric data is handled entirely by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework and is never accessible to Uply.
• Health Data: If you grant HealthKit access, Uply reads sleep analysis data to display wake-up latency insights. This data stays on your device and within Apple's encrypted HealthKit container.
• Alarm Schedules & Wake History: Your alarms, streaks, mission results, and achievement data are stored locally using Apple SwiftData. This data is never transmitted off your device.

4. Data Storage & Security

All user data (alarms, wake history, streaks, achievements, settings) is stored locally on your device using Apple SwiftData and UserDefaults. Data is protected by your device's hardware encryption and passcode.

Uply uses App Groups (group.com.uply.shared) to share alarm data between the main app and the home screen widget. This data stays on your device.

We do not operate backend servers, databases, or cloud storage for user data.

5. Data Sharing & Transfers

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

The only third-party data collection occurs through Google AdMob in the free tier, as described in Section 2.2. This can be avoided by upgrading to Uply Premium.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Deleting the App permanently removes all Uply data from your device, including alarms, wake history, streaks, and achievements.
• Within the App, you can delete your local profile and all associated data from Settings → Account → Delete Account.
• There is no cloud backup to delete — your data exists only on your device.

7. Children's Privacy

Uply is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App uses the device camera for mission verification, which requires parental awareness. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the App inappropriately, please contact us.

8. Advertising & Tracking

The free version of Uply displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework to request permission to track your activity across other apps and websites.

• You can decline this tracking when prompted, or change your preference in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Uply Premium subscribers are never shown ads and the AdMob SDK is not initialized for premium users.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) including the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of tracking and targeted advertising
• Withdraw consent for data processing

Since Uply processes all data on-device and does not maintain user accounts on our servers, you can exercise these rights by deleting the App or adjusting your device's privacy settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
